                        <title>New VLF and LF station for earthquake research</title>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A Very Long Frequency (15kHz–50kHz) and Low Frequency (150kHz–300kHz)  radio receiver has been installed at the GeoMatLab as of 28-March-2012.  This is an instrument installed within the University Campus, is part  of an international monitoring network operated by the Physics  Department, University of Bari, Italy for earthquake research using  ionosphere monitoring. A map of the VLF and LF transmitters and  receivers in Europe is shown in the file linked below.

                        <title>New EGNOS site in Crete</title>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A new EGNOS site, called "TUC3", has established within the campus of  the Technical University of Crete. This site has been operational as of  the beginning of February 2013 and is part of the<a href="http://edcn2.pildo.com/home/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer"> EGNOS Data Collection Network</a> (EDCN) and the relevant map.

                        <title>First Chinese BeiDou Satellite Receiver in Crete (copy 2)</title>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The first Greece's only permanent Beidou/COMPASS receiver, tracking  the Chinese Global Navigation Satellite System, has been installed  30-May-2012 in the University Campus. This is a UR240-CORS dual-system, quad-frequency, high-precision satellite receiver developed to operate as reference station. The receiver tracks Chinese Beidou, as well as, American GPS satellites. It provides millimeter-level carrier phase observations. The station is named "TUC4".</p>]]></content:encoded>

                        <title>Seminars-Workshops within the SOFIA Project</title>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><b>A. 2010, NASA Lectures</b>: Dr. Lee-Lueng Fu from the Jet  Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, Pasadena, California, USA, will give 3-day  lectures at the Technical University of Crete. The lectures will be  given on 14, 15 and 16 September 2010. Each lecture takes about 90  minutes at least to allow discussion (60 minute lecture and 30 minute  questions). The venue is the Large Auditorium in the Building of the  Department of Sciences, in the University Campus. Time is 18:00-20:00 in  the afternoon.&nbsp; These lectures will cover the following topics: (1)  Climate Change and Sea level (14-Sept-2010); (2) Ocean Circulation  (15-Sept-2010), and; (3) Satellite Altimetry (16-Sept-2010).
